YA Indie Carnival: Smashwords and Other Online Publishers

A couple of weeks ago we talked about Amazon, the advantages and disadvantages of publishing with them.  This week we are covering the rest.  Smashwords is growing fast as one of the best places to publish your Indie books.  What do I think about them?

My experience with Smashwords has been great.  I love it that they have so many options.  They will change your book into several different formats unless you opt out.  They will offer your book through places like B&N, Apple, Kobo, Sony, etc. 

They also allow you to put your book for free.  Or you can create coupon codes if you only want a few people to take your book for free.  This is great for marketing.
